We are thrilled to announce that Clare Maxwell has joined the Murdock Trust staff as our new Investment Officer following a national search to fill the role. Clare brings robust experience in investment management and we are so pleased to add her background to the team in service of the Pacific Northwest communities.

“Clare brings a relational approach to investment management that makes her ideal for this role,” says Elmer Huh, chief investment officer, Murdock Trust. “Our entire team is excited not only for the ways Clare will steward our portfolio and help grow our assets, but also for how she will personally enrich our staff and culture and help us bring Jack Murdock’s vision to life in this next season.”

After receiving her B.S. and M.B.A. from the Daniels College of Business at University of Denver, where she played Division I varsity volleyball, Clare joined the investment arm of a private family office with a philanthropic focus on supporting local, national, and global efforts to build strong communities. She has served there in various investment roles ever since, most recently as an Investment Manager overseeing private markets, gaining a wide range of experience in due diligence, portfolio management, team leadership, and mentorship. Outside of the office, Clare enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, experimenting with new recipes, and tending to her ever-growing garden.

“I’m honored to join the Murdock Trust staff and apply my knowledge and experience from the past 12 years of investment management to continue the work and mission of Jack Murdock,” says Clare. “I am very excited to learn and gain new perspectives from my colleagues and portfolio investment managers.”

Please join us in giving Clare Maxwell a warm welcome!
